This airplane was brought out of long-term storage in 2014 and partially restored. The fuselage, covered with Ceconite in 1990 was reconditioned in 2014, the bottom half covering / inspection of tubing / was performed in 2020. The wings were rebuilt in 2014 with new wood spars. The wings, ailerons, and tail surfaces were recovered with all new hardware. New Lift struts with new eye bolt ends. New 8.00x4.00 tires and tubes. Grove disk brake conversion. New slick mags / harness were installed at the time of the Top overhaul. Engine top overhaul with new parts performed in 2021. New Prop installed in 2022. This cub has a rare 2 heat system, normal cockpit heater with additional exhaust risers muff heater. Currently off the aircraft for summer ops. The airplane has an extremely fascinating and well documented history that comes with the logbooks. As records show this cub has been in Nebraska its entire life! Currently the oldest airworthy flying cub in Nebraska! This Cub has been very active since 2014, having flown many 1st timer rides over the years. Annual inspection done 5/1/2026. All AD’s are up to date. Has intercom / handheld radio / push to talk for both pilot and co pilot.
